The action, according to activists quoted by the national news agency SANA, was carried out by unidentified gunmen against a military vehicle of the separatist militia on the road linking the towns of Tal al-Samen and Ain Issa.
In response, armed men of the said illegal group imposed a security cordon in the area and launched a search campaign for the perpetrators of this action.
Last December 30, a similar armed action left three casualties among the ranks of the SDF, a separatist militia, mostly Kurdish, which dominates most of the oil-rich Al-Jazira region and receives arms, money and training from the US occupation forces.
Armed popular resistance actions increased against this grouping due to popular outrage arising from their criminal practices against the villagers and their subservience to the US, in addition to the theft of Syrians’ crude oil and crops.
