Published in Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper, data from a study by the Datafolha Institute showed that a 31% of Brazilians thinks Lula´s administration will be worse than Bolsonaro´s, while 13% of Brazilians thinks it will be the same. The study surveyed as many as 2,026 nationals aged over 16 years in 126 separate municipalities on December 19 and 20, 2022. Margin of error was 2%.

The survey also revealed that 26% of Brazilians believed that Lula will have a bad or lousy government, while 49% said he will be an excellent or good president. Another 20% thought Lula´s government will be average and 4% did not give an opinion.

Lula has a higher expectation of good government among the poorest, who supported him (59% vs 23%) than negative among those who earn up to two minimum wages.

Among the richest, the situation is the other way around. Among those with incomes of more than 10 minimum wages: 61% expects a bad/lousy performance and 26% expects an excellent/good performance.

Regarding whether Lula will fulfill his campaign promises, 24% is convinced that he will do everything he vowed.

Those who think that Lula will not fulfill anything have quadrupled in 20 years: from four to 16%.

Those who believe that only some promises will be fulfilled remained stable: in Lula’s first government (2003-2007) were 62% and now 58%.

On Saturday, Lula met with representatives of Russia and Ukraine, and called for the end of the war between the two countries.

On Twitter, he posted his meeting with Valentina Matvienko, President of the Russian Federation Council, and with the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
