In his message, the diplomat highlighted the bravery, courage, creative and innovative resistance of the Cuban people and wished that in 2023 they achieve new political victories and economic successes against the blockade imposed by the United States.
“We assure you that Yemen will remain on the side of Cuba and its people in all their just struggles, and together we will overcome obstacles, difficulties and the challenges of the new year,” Saleh Nasher stressed.
He diplomat stressed that the friendship between the two nations has proved its strength throughout fifty years of cooperation, understanding and mutual love.
“Last year the Revolution was shot to kill it, but there it is, firm forever, thanks to the creativity of its people and its respected leadership,” the Yemeni ambassador concluded.
Cuba and Yemen celebrated this year half a century of diplomatic relations, based on friendship and solidarity between the respective governments and peoples, even under the most difficult circumstances, according to official assessments by the parties.
Cuba-Yemen collaboration has its expression in many and diverse fields, particularly in education and health care, since in the 1970s, thousands of young Yemenis studied and graduated from educational centers in Cuba.
