The value of exports this year amounted to 371.85 billion dollars, which represents a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent, said the General Statistics Office (OGE).
The contribution of the national economic sector to the total amount of sales abroad was 95.09 billion dollars, while foreign direct investment contributed 276.6 billion dollars, more than 74 percent of the global sum.
Regarding the value of imports, it is estimated that by the end of the year it will reach 360.65 billion dollars, for an 8.4 percent increase compared to 2021.
According to the OGE report, reviewed by the VNA news agency, 36 items registered an export turnover of more than one billion dollars, and eight of these even exceeded 10 billion dollars in sales overseas.
Over the 2012-2022 decade, the Vietnamese trade balance was in deficit only in 2015.
