This favorable epidemiological situation is the result of the phased Covid-19 vaccination campaign, as Cuba has administered 42,684,967 doses of its homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 90.3 percent of the Cuban population has been fully vaccinated, while 8,673,703 people have received booster shots.

According to data from the National Statistics and Information Office, by late March, 2022, Cuba had a population of 11,105,814 inhabitants.
