The Central Statistics Office (PCB) specified in a statement that the expansion was motivated especially by the transportation and storage sectors (8.0 percent), while wholesale and retail trade increased 5.0 percent.
Mining, electricity and water, construction, financial and insurance activities, and information and communication grew 2.0 percent each.
The PCB detailed that agriculture, forestry and fishing decreased 16 percent during the period, and public administration and defense 1.0 percent.
GDP for the third quarter of 2022, at constant prices, was $3.243 billion for the West Bank and $667 million for the Gaza Strip.
In the West Bank the GDP per capita was 1,119 dollars during the third quarter, an increase of 2.0 percent year-on-year, and it was 307 dollars in the Gaza Strip, a growth of 3.0 percent.
