This figure accounts for increased new positive cases (1,206) compared to the immediately preceding epidemiological week confirming 3,984 cases.

The Health Surveillance Directorate´s latest report indicated that during the 49th epidemiological week it was reported a daily average of 99 hospitalizations, 13 of which in ICUs.

In those seven days, 13 deaths were reported (nearly two per day), higher than the eight deaths reported the week before, according to the Health Surveillance Directorate.
