UN Spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said that UNICEF is contributing with the purchase of cold chain equipment to benefit some 2,000 health centers.
According to a press release, the World Health Organization (WHO) has deployed special groups across affected provinces.
The WHO is also helping to provide training on measles vaccination and outbreak preparedness, said Dujarric, while adding that training of health professionals is also planned to begin early next year.
Out of total number of confirmed measles cases, nearly 75% are children aged under nine.
