Both sides exchanged views in an open and constructive manner and described talks as frank and insightful, the statement added.
The round of Corps Commander-level talks was held at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on the Chinese side.
Reading out the joint press statement, Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said in New Delhi that both sides exchanged views on solving relevant issues on the western sector of the so-called Line of Actual Control, which temporarily divides both nations.
Delegates from both nations held debates on solving pending issues as soon as possible.
Bagchi said this would help restore peace along the dividing line and allow progress in bilateral relations.
