During the day, 17 patients were discharged, so the total number of recovered people rose to 1,103,013, and since the outbreak of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,111,713 cases have been reported, while the total death toll remains at 8,530.

This favorable epidemiological result is the result of the staggered vaccination campaign against Covid-19 since Cuba has administered 42,639,680 doses of its homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, and Abdala vaccines.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 90.3 percent of the Cuban population has received the full vaccination schedule, while 8,668,427 people have received booster doses.
