We are celebrating today what Venezuelan poet Aquiles Nazoa used to call “the greates invention of humankind: friendship,” Venezuelan Ambassador, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, highlighted, while clearing up that Venezuela-Vietnam relations have been established since 1964.
The Venezuelan ambassador recalled that on July 31, 2006, a historic event occurred as President Hugo Chavez granted a replica of Simon Bolivar´s sword to the head of the People´s Army and strategist of two wars, General Vo Nguyen Giap.
Pugh Moreno reviewed progress of bilateral ties in the past three decades and pointed out that over 60 agreements have been reached and nine bilateral political consultaions have been conducted.
After overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, the official visits were resumed and bilateral trade rose by 700% this year compared to 2021, she said.
Recent times have been so hard to Venezuela as more than 900 unilateral coercive measures have been imposed, which have led to tokens of solidarity from different peoples worldwide.
