On his Twitter account, the president wrote: “A hug, guys. We count on everyone to continue building a better country. We will see each other in the congress.”
The event, which opened on Friday in this capital, culminates a process of debates and meetings developed during the last months in all the higher education centers nationwide.
The congress, which will be in session until next Tuesday, seeks to strengthen the links of the students with its organization through a communication strategy and actions so that the members feel more identified with their postulates.
Likewise, debates will seek to promote greater participation by students in science, technology, and research with concrete contributions to the development of the country, promote innovation from the universities, and that the FEU helps direct that same aspiration, especially to the disposition of the territories.
According to several delegates, it is fundamental in the analyzes to reinforce the defense of a university that responds to more and more to the Cuban socialist project and for which Julio Antonio Mella, its founder and prominent communist leader of the first decades of the 20th century, fought so hard.
