The Western powers, led by the United States, launched an economic war on Russia including a staggered boycott on oil and gas purchases, which had a boomerang effect on the European economies, according to local press.

In this regard, a press release indicated that Radev admitted the possibility of constructing an oil pipeline from the Greek port city of Alexandropolis to the Bulgarian city of Burgas.

In addition, the Bulgarian president, whose country joined the punitive measures against Moscow, asked Blinken to offer him the possibility of leasing U.S. fighters.
