When exchanging views with leaders of the Melanio Hernandez Agroindustrial Sugar Company and authorities from this territory, he spoke about the need to guarantee the necessary sugarcane for the next one.

Machado was also interested in the first experiences of the strategy of milling sugarcane to manufacture sugar and molasses for the production of alcohol, which is being carried out in the Sancti Spiritus sugar industry.

He insisted on the need, if possible, to exceed the foreseen plan with a good organization from the beginning to the end, exhausting all the possibilities to manufacture sugar and byproducts.

When assessing the cultivation of sugarcane, he called to use all the experiences, from the exchange with the producers, and the farmers, to organize the work and make the most of the areas with water irrigation.

Melanio Hernandez is expected to produce more than 23,500 tons of sugar, processing raw material from Empresa Azucarera Uruguay, which is not milling this year, for the basic food basket and other orders for domestic consumption.

Deivy Perez Martin, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and its secretary in this territory, and Frank Osbel Cañizares, vice governor, also participated in meeting.
