According to national press reports,in a business forum, the head of state was invited to present Angola’s projections , which constitutes one of the top points of the summit between the United States and Africa,which is being held by the initiative of the US president, Joe Biden.
Special envoys from the Angola Press agency (ANGOP) also reported on the meeting between Lourenço and the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and Defense, Lloyd Austin, to discuss bilateral relations.
The Angolan dignitary also held talks with a delegation from the World Bank and with the administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power.
He also participated in a round table with businessmen, whom he invited to continue investing in Angola, mainly in agriculture and solar energy spheres, ANGOP said.
Lourenço’s work schedule included other parallel forums, such as the annual meeting of Eximbank, the US export credit agency.
This Wednesday’s dialogue with the business community was organized under the slogan “Charting the course: the future of US-Africa trade and investment relations”, in order to address potential businesses in infrastructure, energy, agribusiness and digital connectivity, ANGOP reported.
