Berdimuhamedov added that his visit to Russia helped agreements to increase the partnership in all areas of cooperation, including trade, transport, agriculture, financial system, education, medicine and culture, the Turkmenistan Neutral newspaper reported.
The PreSident also spoke of the fact that the United States ranks second in Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priorities.
In November it was reported that the United States intended to help the Turkmen government benefit from sanctions against Russia.
The US Under-secretary of State in the Office of South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, announced that Washington would be happy to work with the Turkmen government and the business community to help them get more out of the current situation.
