According to the French Public Health Agency´s latest report, the country reported in the last 24 hours as many as 65,509 new infections, so that the average number of infected (from Tuesday to Friday) is around 78,000, a figure confirming the severe epidemiological situation.
The country´s hospitalization toll rose to 21,874, while the number of ICU patients dropped by 1,182.
Regarding death toll, the French health entity mourned 94, bringing the total to 159,611.
In addition to Covid-19, France is presently facing up the unprecedented scourge of Bronchiolitis in 10 years and an early attack of seasonal influenza.
