Turkish airstrikes on Syrian city reported

Damascus, Dec 8 (Prensa Latina) The Turkish Army targeted the border village of Abu Rasin, in northern Hasakah province, some 700 kilometers northeast of Damascus, with artillery attacks, activists reported here.

The airstrikes caused losses to houses and properties, and left the main bakery in the village destroyed, the sources reported, quoted by SANA.

The media did not specify whether any deaths or injuries were reported, as a result of the war action.

On November 20, Türkiye launched an air operation called Claw-Sword against the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Aleppo, Raqa, and Hasakah provinces.

Ankara blamed these US-backed Kurdish forces for the November 13 bombing in Istanbul, in which six people were killed and 81 were injured.

Under the pretext of fighting and eradicating the SDF, the Turkish military and illegal armed groups have controlled large areas in Idlib, Aleppo, Raqa, and Hasakah provinces since 2018.
