On national television Tuesday, the deputy minister stressed that in addition to the statements, Arab partners and friends took measures such as establishing a contact group within the Arab League about the crisis in Ukraine.
Several Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Middle East and North African nations have repeatedly noted the neutrality of the region in relation to the developments around the East European nation, Bogdanov stated.
In the final statement of the Arab League summit held in Algeria in November, the leaders informed that they are committed to the principle of neutrality and the common Arab position about the conflict, he added.
That Arab League contact group, established in March, includes the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan, and the secretary general of the regional organization.
