According to Ali Shoeib, reporter for the local TV channel Al-Manar, Israeli forces built new fortifications in the village of Tallat Al-Mahafer, south of the city of Al-Adaysah, considered occupied Lebanese land.
Videos and photos posted on the reporter’s Twitter account showed the constant movement of four bulldozers in the area under the protection of Merkava tanks and Namer armored vehicles.
According to the reporter, what is worrying about the Israeli maneuvers is the fact of building defensive fortification in occupied lands in Lebanon, not recognized by the State within the Blue Line established by the United Nations as a disputed point.
The IDF are once again violating the national space and the Lebanese Army deployed in the region cannot stop the works in the absence of orders to prevent them, the reporter commented in one of the publications.
On November 14th, Lebanon demanded in a tripartite meeting at the United Nations Interim Force headquarters in Naqoura, that the UN exert maximum pressure on Israel to make it stop its hostile practices, its violations, and withdraw from all the occupied territories.
Despite the expulsion from Lebanon in May 2000, Tel Aviv still holds the lands of the Shebaa farms and the Kafar Chuba hills, as well as the northern part of the Ghajar area.
