India and Germany hold talks to increase bilateral cooperation

India Alemania
New Delhi, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) The Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock, discussed the intensification of bilateral cooperation, especially in energy, trade and the fight against climate change.

Baerbock arrived in New Delhi on Monday on a two-day visit to hold talks with local authorities on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual concern.

The spokesman for the Indian Foreign Ministry, Arindam Bagchi, said that “as strategic partners, both countries have a long relationship based on common values and shared objectives.”

Jaishankar and Baerbock met last February during the Security Conference held in Munich.

In a statement, Baerbock described India as Germany’s “natural partner” and predicted that India will have a decisive influence in shaping the international order in this century.
