Russia condemns provocation against ammonia pipeline in Ukraine

Defensa-Rusia
Moscow, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) Ukraine is presently planning to stage a Russian attack to prevent Moscow from re-exporting ammonia to the international market through the Togliatti-Odesa pipeline, the Defense Ministry reported on Sunday.

This plan is allegedly to detonate the ammonia storage vaults at the OPZ plant close to Odessa, as well as a gas transshipment unit and to show it as the effect of Russian missiles, the DM told Sputnik.

This provocation was planned and will be carried out under the control of UK secret services representatives in Odessa.

Plus, the Canadian private military company GardaWorld, contracted by the administration of Ukrainian seaports to guard infrastructure in Odessa oblast, is also deeply involved in.

Destroying ammonia depots in Odessa will lead to further price hikes on the international market, allowing British and U.S. ammonia suppliers to the European Union (EU) and developing nations to rise production and export under high-price conditions.

Built in the late 1970s, the Togliatti-Odesa pipeline used to transfer up to 2.5 million tons per year, but it has been inoperative since Russia began its special military operation in Ukraine on February 24.

Vice Chancellor Sergey Vershinin recalled past November the agreements signed in Istanbul, known as the Black Sea Grain Initiative, provide for free access of Russian fertilizers, including necessary raw materials such as ammonia, to world markets.
