Increases in basic sectors such as processing and manufacturing (8.9 percent); the production and distribution of electricity (7.7); the supply of water and the management and treatment of waste and residual waters (7.1), and mining exploitation (6.5) were decisive in this performance, according to the entity.
According to the report, increases achieved in the production of beverages (31%), medicines, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal herbs (18.8%); wood and derivative articles (18.4%); leather and related goods (16.7%), and machinery and equipment (16.2%) stood out in particular.
There was, however, a 2.6% decrease in metals, and 7% for rubber and plastic products.
The information, reviewed by the VNA news agency, also shows that Vietnam’s IPI increased in 61 provinces and cities and decreased only in two.
Regarding the number of workers employed in industrial companies up until last November 1st, the statistics specified that there was a 0.4% n increase compared to October, and 5.9% compared to the same period in 2021.
