Bilateral trade summed 1.36 billion dollars between January and October, 2022, making it possible to achieve the expected goal of 1.63 billion for the current year, according to specialists.
Until the end of last October, Vietnamese exports to Laos totaled 512.3 million dollars, an increase of 3.7 percent over the same period last year, while imports of Lao products amounted to 390 million US dollars.
Gas and oil (58 million dollars), machinery and appliances (52.1 million) and vegetables and fruits (51.7 million) were the main Vietnamese products exported to Laos.
Vietnam, meanwhile, mainly imported rubber (193.4 million dollars), wood and products derived from it (116.6 million) and fertilizers (80 million) from Laos.
