An official communication claims that Parshin confirmed the Russian commitment in a meeting with Ethiopian Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla held in Addis Ababa.

Our nation will also cooperate in e-government services, digital skills, and many other areas, the official said, according to the text posted on the cabinet’s official website.

Molla “requested Russia to strengthen support for the digital transformation aspirations of the Ethiopian Government and people,” the notice observed.

Ethiopia, he commented, is ready to learn from Russia’s vast experience in digitization and intends to implement that knowledge in all economic and social processes.

The communiqué notes that the two sides discussed the development of the legal framework in the field of information and communication technologies.
