Negotiations for development plan in Colombia reach Nariño

Colombia-3
Bogota, Nov 29 (Prensa Latina) On Tuesday, the inhabitants of the Colombian department of Nariño could submit their projects, ideas, and proposals for the construction of the 2022-2026 National Development Plan.

Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva invited Nariño residents and settlers of the border area to attend the regional negotiations where all Colombians can contribute in building the country they want.

The inhabitants of all municipalities without distinction will welcome the proposals during the Binding Regional Dialogue to take place in Ipiales, the call states.

Jorge Iván González, director of the National Planning Department, stated that although the Government delivered a first draft of the bases of the document to the National Planning Council on November 15 as the law requires, the National Development Plan will submit its final version on February 7, 2023.

Among the issues to be resolved in the negotiations are territorial planning towards peace; human security and social justice; food sovereignty; energy transition and green growth with environmental justice; and finally, Social-Regional Convergence (how to eliminate socioeconomic gaps among regions).
