Cuban Mission in China pays tribute to Fidel Castro

Beijing, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) Diplomats, students, and workers from different Cuban entities in China paid tribute to Fidel Castro on Friday on the sixth anniversary of his death, at an event where his internationalist and revolutionary legacy was evoked.

The event was held at the Cuban Embassy in China. Meanwhile, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel carries out his working agenda as part of his official visit to this nation.

During the evening, videos with different moments of the trajectory of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution were screened, and a young man performed the song “Cabalgando con Fidel” (Riding with Fidel), composed by Cuban singer-songwriter Raúl Torres a few hours after learning of his death on November 25, 2016.

The speech for the anniversary highlighted his legacy and teaching on the value of principles such as internationalism, loyalty, and friendship that underpin ties with other peoples.

Among other issues, it called on those present, especially youngsters, to follow his example and try to be better every day because the future of the Cuban Revolution lies on them.
