According to a press release from the National Statistics Office (ONE), extending the deadline for the survey, which started on November 10, will allow Dominicans to fulfill their right to be part of the census, which represents the major statistical operation in the country.
ONE also reported that the technical decision to extend the census was made due to incidents during the first week of work.
The census presented inconveniences and was solved thanks to teamwork and efforts by ONE, authorities, and the personnel in charge of the operation.
The information showed that several municipalities are already closing, but others would need additional days to complete the workload.
