In a communique, the situation was described as a “dangerous escalation” that threatened energy supplies, freedom, and security for shipping and foreign trade.
The statement denounced a new attack with drones by the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) on the oil Al Dabba port in Hadhramaut province while a ship loaded with crude oil was docked at that facility.
For this reason, the Yemeni Government reiterated its call to the international community to condemn those actions that threaten stability in the country.
The war in Yemen began in 2014 when Houthi rebels took up arms and occupied large swathes of the country, including Sana’a, its capital.
