Local activists quoted by al-Watan journal, reported that a column of the Seventeenth Division of the Syrian Army was moved from the Tal al-Saman area to positions along the front lines with Turkish troops and their local mercenary groups, in the municipality of Ain Issa, in the north of the Raqqa province.
According to the sources, Turkish troops continue shelling targets of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” – a Kurdish-majority separatist militia supported by the United States and described as terrorist by Ankara – in border areas in the north of Aleppo and Hasakeh´s governance.
The towns of Qabur al-Qarajneh, Tal al-Laban, al-Kuzliya and Tal Tamr in Hasakeh were heavily shelled, causing extensive material losses to residents’ homes and properties, with no confirmed casualties as yet.
Other actions caused the massive displacement of the residents of Al-Bayloniyah, Al-Malikiah, Kafr Antoun, Sheikh Issa and Zor Maghar towards the city of Tal Rifat and towns to the south.
The Al-Mayadeen television station reported that a camp in the Hasakeh province established by the Pentagon to train Kurdish militias was bombed and destroyed by Turkish planes.
Last Sunday, Turkiye launched an air operation called Claw-Sword against Kurdish militias in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo, Raqa and Hasakeh, in revenge for the Istanbul attack on November 13th, in which six people were killed and 81 injured. According to the Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, the order to carry out the attack came from the city of Kobane, a stronghold of Kurdish forces in northern Syria.
