US must cease provocations against peace on Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) The current crisis in the Korean Peninsula is caused by hostilities between the United States and its allies, which must cease if peace is desired in the region, Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui said on Monday.

In remarks published by KCNA, the foreign minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) stressed that stability in the region depends first on the end of intimidating military actions against her country.

The diplomat also urged the international community to condemn those actions.

In addition, Choe described the attitude of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as deplorable due to his criticism of Pyongyang’s reaction in the face of the increased military actions against North Korea.

The DPRK foreign minister regretted the UN secretary-general’s stance on the issue, which, she said, is similar to that of a member of the White House or the US Department of State.
