Stoltenberg referred to the fact that NATO has not officially deployed troops in Ukraine, although there are many proofs – analysts pointed out – of the involvement of troops from different NATO member countries in combat actions.
The NATO chief also referred to his rejection of the creation of a no-fly zone over Ukraine, and specified that NATO´s goal is “to aid Ukrainians to protect their airspace on their own”.
NATO’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict – according to experts – is quite decisive. An account published by the Kiel Institute of Germany in August pointed out that the official amount of military aid sent to Ukraine exceeded $40 billion.
