During the event, the second of its kind, Ebrard and Çavuşoğlu expressed their firm commitment to deepen and diversify the strategic partnership cooperation and confirmed the central role of the commission as the leading mechanism to facilitate and support the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues.
After the visit, the two ministers signed a joint statement in which they reported an agreement to convene their Political Affairs Committee at the deputy ministerial level soon to monitor the issues agreed on this day.
They also decided to continue regular contact while Çavuşoğlu extended an invitation to Ebrard to participate in the next session of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF), to take place in April 2023.
In economic matters, the two diplomats highlighted that the bilateral trade volume expects to exceed two billion dollars late this year, so given its potential, it can reach five billion dollars as agreed in 2015 when President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Mexico.
