As part of his intense agenda in Thailand, Boric leads a meeting this Thursday called “Building sustainable economies, business, and societies,” along with Peru’s Vice President Dina Boluarte.
Later, he will visit Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok to attend the seminar “Chile, Latin America and Asia, relations, future, and perspectives,” in which students, authorities, and academics will participate.
The president expects to meet with Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Canada’s Justin Trudeau.
On Friday, Boric will meet for the first time with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, where the final details of an official visit by Boric to the Asian nation, one of Chile’s main trading partners, could be arranged.
During the working days of the APEC summit, ongoing until November 19th, the Chilean president will participate in talks focused on trade promotion, sustainable investment, and inclusive growth.
