According to a statement from the Italian Council of Ministers, the talks, which took place on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia were centered around strengthening relations “to enhance the most of the potential of both countries”.
Meloni also spoke with the Indian Prime Minister about the conflict in Ukraine and its implications, particularly on the food and energy security front, as well as stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
The head of government assured Modi about Italy’s full cooperation with India in the context of the upcoming G20 presidency, which the latter country will assume, “also in light of the magnitude of common challenges.”
