The head of Cuban diplomacy wrote on Twitter that the new sanctions are illegal, violate international law, and constitute open interference in the internal affairs of that nation.

The United States on Tuesday imposed punitive measures on companies and citizens it accuses of being involved in the production or transfer of Iranian drones allegedly used by Russia in attacks on infrastructure in Ukraine.

Iranian Government Spokespersons recently pointed out that their country supplied drones to Moscow, but they were sent before the conflict in Ukraine.

Iranian military entities and industries are already subject to heavy US sanctions over Tehran’s nuclear development program.

On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdolahian said that the US Government is acting hypocritically by stating in public that the nuclear deal is not a priority, while privately contacting Tehran to close it in a hurry.
