A message of gratitude from Cuba that fights and resists, despite the difficulties, we send you a fraternal hug, he stated in words addressed to a forum convened in this capital by The Left in the European Parliament to denounce and condemn Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Caribbean country.
Lazo stressed the importance of denouncing the hostile policy of the United States, categorically rejected by the international community.
In this regard, Lazo, who is also president of the Council of State, recalled the recent claim at the United Nations General Assembly regarding a resolution on the necessity to end the blockade, which was approved for the thirtieth since 1992.
He noted that the demand to lift the blockade in force for more than 60 years will continue as long as the injustice and its genocidal nature last.
In his message to the forum “Let Cuba live: End the blockade,” Lazo acknowledged the patriotic Cubans and the dignified people who throughout the world oppose the economic war against Cuba.
