A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China considered that under the current circumstances all the parties involved should remain calm, in the face of accusations between Ukraine and Russia regarding responsibility for the event.
She also stressed Beijing’s position in favor of always giving priority to dialogue, negotiation and a peaceful solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
According to several reports, two people died on Tuesday when a missile fell in the town of Przewodow, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Ukraine.
Polish media and officials blamed Russia for the “attack”, and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said it was “an attack on collective security” and urged the West to act.
Moscow denied such accusations and called them a provocation.
The incident led to emergency meetings between NATO and G7 member countries.
