Cultural center to hold a concert to celebrate Havana’s foundation

Havana, Nov 15 (Prensa Latina) The ALBA Culture Center in this capital will give a concert entitled "Cantata to Havana" on Tuesday, on the eve of the 503rd anniversary of the founding of the city.

Schola Cantorum Coralina of Maestra Alina Urraca will be one of the special guests. This time, Lisandra Rodriguez will conduct the group, according to the program released.

Female choir Ensemble Vocal Luna, conducted by Maribel Nodarse; the choral group of the Cuba Telecommunications Enterprise S.A, led by María Karla Ibar; and Novel Voz vocal group, directed by Roberto Carlos Cruz, will also join the festivities.

Several cultural institutions in Havana scheduled a broad agenda to celebrate the 503rd anniversary of the village of San Cristobal de La Habana.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared the Historic Center of this capital and its fortification system, a World Heritage Site in 1982.
