vietnam-PIB
Hanoi, Nov 10 (Prensa Latina) The National Assembly of Vietnam approved by majority vote the Resolution on the 2023 Socioeconomic Development Plan, which provides a growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 6.5 percent.

The Resolution establishes 15 goals, which also includes achieving a per capita income of 4,400 dollars, maintaining an increase in the consumer price index of 4.5 percent, and reduce the rate of poor families by between one and 1.5 percentage points.

In declarations to The Voice of Vietnam, deputies agreed in qualifying as appropriate and prudent the fact of setting the GDP increase at 6.5 percent, taking into account the context of complicated and unpredictable developments that characterizes the worldwide situation.

The plan demonstrates the Government’s determination to promote post-pandemic recovery and sustainable development, in addition to guaranteeing harmony and flexibility in meeting the objectives set, said the head of the Parliament’s Economic Committee, Vu Hong Thanh.

It also indicates the need to improve the resilience and adaptation of the economy, and efficiently implement recovery and socioeconomic development programs and national objectives, in addition to promoting renewal and innovation, green growth and digital transformation.
