The organization issued a statement considering that in the current scenario of the country, with inflation exceeding six percent in October, an increase is possible and urgent, both in public and private sectors.
That is the purpose of the bill presented by the communist deputies in the National Assembly, the PCF stressed on the eve of a protest that could paralyze transportation in the capital city.
According to authorities, seven of the 16 lines of the Paris metro could close as a result of the strike, and another seven would only be opened during peak hours, while two automatic lines would work normally, and there would also be disturbances in the traffic of regional trains, buses and trams.
The PCF accused the government of promoting austerity policies that affect the majority of French people, whose purchasing power and access to social security have been reduced.
It also reiterated the party’s rejection of the use, in four different occasions, of the “fatal weapon” of article 49.3 of the Constitution, which allows the adoption of bills without the vote of the National Assembly.

Comunistas franceses apoyan protesta sindical por aumento salarial
París, 9 nov (Prensa Latina) El Partido Comunista Francés (PCF) llamó a la movilización en respaldo al paro convocado para mañana por sindicatos en reclamo de un aumento salarial en tiempos de una galopante inflación.
En un comunicado, la organización consideró que en el actual escenario del país, con una inflación superior al seis por ciento en octubre, el incremento es posible y urgente, tanto en el sector público como en el privado.
Ese es el propósito del proyecto de ley presentado por los diputados comunistas en la Asamblea Nacional, subrayó en vísperas de una protesta que pudiera paralizar el transporte en esta capital.
Según proyecciones de las autoridades, siete de las 16 líneas del metro de París pudieran cerrar mañana por el paro, y otras siete solo abrirían en horarios pico, mientras funcionarían con normalidad las dos automáticas (1 y 14), y también habría perturbaciones en el tráfico de trenes regionales, buses y tranvías.
El PCF acusó al gobierno de impulsar políticas de austeridad que afectan a la mayoría de los franceses, quienes ven limitado su poder adquisitivo y el acceso a la seguridad social.
Asimismo, reiteró el rechazo del partido al uso por el oficialismo en cuatro ocasiones del ‘arma fatal’ del artículo 49.3 de la Constitución, que permite adoptar proyectos de ley sin el voto de la Asamblea Nacional.
