This was confirmed at a virtual meeting of political consultations chaired by the general director of Bilateral Affairs at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Emilio Lozada Garcia, and Nawaf Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, joint deputy minister for Affairs of the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
According to a press release from the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the Kuwaiti delegation thanked Havana for its support in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, during which some 300 Cuban medical specialists provided their services in that nation, as members of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade.
The Cuban representative thanked Kuwait for its vote in favor of the resolution against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on Cuba at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Present at the meeting on behalf of Cuba were the director of North Africa and the Middle East at the Foreign Ministry, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, and Cuban Ambassador to Kuwait Jose Luis Noriega Sanchez
The Kuwaiti delegation was also made up of Ambassador to Cuba Abdel Al-Adghan and other officials from the diplomatic mission.
