On Twitter, Faría posted that our problems are solved among Venezuelans “without intrigues form those who have always bet on our failure”.
It would be quite convenient for the Canadian government to mind its own internal affairs and save its interfering and ill-timed views on talks in Venezuela, Faría tweeted. Faría´s tweet came in response to the Canadian spokesman Jason Kung´s statements to the international press stating that “the best solution to Venezuela´s present crisis” is one negotiated with the opposition. Canada encourages President Nicolás Maduro´s delegation to “return to such negotiations on the spot”.
The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela called off talks with the opposition in October 2021 following the United States, in violation of international norms, kidnapped diplomat Alex Saab for 16 months and extradited from Cape Verde.
