The Executive tax, led by Colonel Mamady Doumbouya through Justice Minister Alphonse Charles Wright, spread a long list of names linked to the Executive of Condé, overthrown in a coup in September 2021, charged with embezzlement of public funds.
In addition to Condé, former Prime Minister Ibrahima Kassory Fofana and other former ministers are those already prosecuted by the Prosecution’s Office.
According to Wright, in order of his Ministry of Justice, the defendants had their bank accounts frozen, which could be evidence that those accused committed illegal acts.
In recent times, the Guinean military junta, in power for a year, brought to court several former officials accused of committing alleged crimes, illicit enrichment, and money laundering, among others, Africa News portal reported.
