Zaporozhye authorities find explosives at nuclear plant

Moscow, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) The authorities of the Zaporozhye province, which joined Russia late September, accused Ukraine of having planted explosives in areas of the nuclear plant.

Deputy Governor Vladimir Rogov explained that the finding foiled a terrorist attack, which the regime of Vladimir Zelensky is behind.

The official specified that the explosives were hidden inside the plant, with the Ukrainian troops having left them behind last February or March as Russian forces advanced on the plant.

According to Rogov, the Ukrainian security service was going to recruit one of the employees to detonate the charge.

The sabotage was aimed at leaving the population of Energodar without heat this winter by destroying a pipeline connecting the plant to the city, he said.

The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located in the city of Energodar, on the banks of the Kakhovka reservoir, in an area controlled since last March by Russian troops.
