It is the first decline in the inter-annual comparison in 2022, according to Siglo XXI Agency in charge of promoting exports, investments, and the country’s image.
The source stated that beef sales and prices declined in October, particularly in the Chinese market, where Brazilian beef exports increased.
October marked Uruguay´s fourth consecutive beef export decline month, totaling $186 million, reaching up to 28% of their year-on-year value.
However, Siglo XXI reported the growth of the South American country’s goods export growth in the cumulative January-October period, with a 27% increase over 2021.
