According to the Government’s Communication Service, the tribute will take place in the regional states on Thursday, under the motto ‘We will never forget the day,’ in reference to November 3, 2020, when the TPLF attacked the Command.
The press release stated that many federal army personnel and guardians of the region were killed in a barbaric action that will be always recalled as a criminal betrayal.
Despite this, the group mercilessly massacred its members, and the plot and the deliberate mission to dismantle Ethiopia began with this unprovoked attack, the text stressed.
On November 3 evening, members of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front stormed the Northern Command. In response, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed ordered a military operation in the morning of November 4 to restore constitutional order in Tigray.
Since then, with days of peace among clashes, the Government has been waging a war against the Front, which has been accused of violating human rights, among other crimes, and has been declared terrorist by Parliament.
