President of Egypt invites Lula to climate summit

Cairo, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, congratulated the new President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and invited him to the COP27 climate summit, an official source reported.

The presidential spokesman, Bassam Rady, detailed in a statement, that El-Sisi wished Lula success who won the elections in Brazil last Sunday in the second round.

“I believe that Brazil can play a positive and constructive role during the next summit to promote climate action at an international level,” El-Sisi said.

The head of state also advocated increasing relations between the two countries in various fields.

The 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) will be held between June 6th and the 18th, in the Sharm El-Sheikh resort, located in the Sinai Peninsula, in the northwest of the country.
