The Egyptian army announced in a statement that the maneuvers are taking place in the southern district of the country.

Aqaba 7 will last until November 9th and will include the participation of sea-borne, land units and special forces.

The Egyptian army is considered one of the strongest and most prepared in the region. Last year Egypt participated in 41 military exercises together with elements from other countries; 29 of the said exercises took place on national territory, according to official data.
