According to the latest report by the entity, released on Tuesday, the earthquake occurred at 10:43 p.m. local time on Monday at a depth of 286 kilometers, and so far no damage to people or significant material damage has been reported.
The threat of possible aftershocks kept hundreds of people in the streets during the early hours, even though the perception of the tremor on the ground was minimal, according to local residents in statements published by the Il Nuovo Trentino newspaper.
The earthquake was felt not only throughout Cosenza, but along the entire coast of the region and even in some inland municipalities, the source refers.
Three earthquakes with magnitude close to 3.0 were recorded in Calabria during the last month, one on October 13th, another on the 16th and the third on October 18th, according to INGV reports.
